Larry Gale Brown

LARRY GALE BROWN, Age 71, formerly of East Prairie, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his home in Bertrand.

Born July 15, 1940, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late Prince Albert (P.A.) and Hazel Luella Jones Brown, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life and had been employed as a police officer in East Prairie a number of years and was employed in construction.

On June 2, 2000, he married Betty Lou Oldham, who survives of the home in Bertrand.

Also surviving are: three sons, David Brown and Sammy Brown of Hamilton, AL; and Chip Brown of East Prairie; two daughters, Shelia Rivers and Donna Ferrel of Hamilton, AL; two stepsons, Shannon Oldham of Sikeston and Jimmy Loflin of East Prairie; two step daughters, Lisa Stone of Bertrand and Stacy Loflin of Charleston; one sister and brother in law, Betty and Russell McEntire of Miner; 13 grandchildren, Crystal Martin, Jamie Stone, Tyler Rivers, Daniel Pratt, Tiffany Finch, Scotty Brown, Derrick Brown, Nathan Brown, Derrick Peoples, Raven Martin, Drew Martin, Carmon Pratt and Hunter Brown; 12 step grandchildren, Shiann Loflin, Bradley Massey, CJ Oldham, Thomas Oldham, Mary Oldham, Zecoy Oldham, Nevaeh Loflin, Kayden Craig, Ka. Mari Craig, Christen Craig, Sean Loflin and Haley Loflin.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Brown and by two sisters, Glenda Johnson and Patsy Held.

Private Memorial Services will be held.

McMikle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
