Albert Leonard "Al" Grainger, Jr., 88 died Sunday, June 18, at his home near Sikeston. He was born March 24, 1929 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Albert L. Sr. and Ruth Marie (Reim) Grainger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, was a phone repairman and installer for Southwestern Bell for over 30 years , and was a member of the Matthews Missionary Baptist Church. On Dec. 10, 1981 he was married to Edith F. (Ergle) Frohock in Benton and she survives of the home. Also surviving are 1 son, Richard L. Frohock of St. Louis; 4 daughters: Pamela F. Redden of Sikeston, Teresa Lynn Jenkins of Matthews, Tina and T.J. Gantner of Matthews and K. Denise Frohock of Benton. 18 grandchildren an 23 great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 6:00 pm Wednesday until time for a memorial service at 7:00 pm. with Rev. Chris Polk, pastor of the Matthews Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Committal rites will be held at 9:00 am Thursday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.
