Albert Thene Swinney

Albert Thene Swinney, age 56, of Sikeston, MO, died Friday, December 19, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Born September 22, 1969, at Springfield, MO, to Edward Swinney and Margaret Forbey Swinney, who survive of Sikeston.  He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and had lived in Belleville, IL several years before returning to the Sikeston area.   He had been employed as an over the road truck driver.

Surviving in addition to his parents, are his sons, Brandon Swinney, Cody Swinney and Austyn Swinney; his grandsons, Brenden Chapman and Noah Swinney; his sister, Megan Duff; his partner and companion, Arinda Beaston; as well as a number of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Swinney, his paternal grandparents, Leon and Tillie Peters Swinney and his maternal grandparents, Willis and Margaret Roach Forbey.

Services and burial with full military honors are being planned for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
