ALEXIS DAUN HAMILTON, 21, of Charleston, was called home Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 1:55 a.m., in Charleston, MO.
Born November 21, 1996, at Sikeston, MO, to Dottie Jones, all who knew her knew she was smart, funny, goofy and loved the Lakers.
Alexis had an impact on everyone. Her smile could change anyone's mood. The memories with her will forever live on with the acts of kindness stemming beyond the grave, with love and affection her heart she gave.
She graduated Charleston High School in 2015. Alexis enrolled at SEMO to be a child psychologist which she was due to start August 20, 2018. Her interests included hanging with friends and family, traveling, art, getting her hair cut for the weekend and listening to music.
She is survived by her mother, Dottie Jones; her dad, Darwin Craig; grandmother, Nelda Housman Jones; sister, Victoria Jones; brothers, Darwin Craig, Jr., Maurice Moore, Dkyrwin Craig and Jasceon Craig; sister, Onesti Craig and a lot of family which isn't always blood. It is the people of your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. And, with just that, Alexis considered you family. #tolife.
Preceding her in death was her grandfather, Johnny Jones.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Dean Wallace will officiate.
Immediately following the funeral all are invited to a celebration of life at the Shining Light, 721 W. Marshall St., Charleston, MO 63834.
A lasting memorial tribute to Alexis would be to become an organ and tissue donor.
