Alice Frances Thaxtion Huffman, age 80, formerly of Portageville, died Monday, March 7, 2022, at her home in Pass Christian, Mississippi.

Alice was born May 1, 1941, at Portageville, MO, the last daughter of Samuel and and Nellie M. Collins Thaxtion.   She had lived in Pass Christian, MS the last several years.

Alice had three sisters and one brother that were called home before her.  She lived a full life in her 80 years.

Alice had five children, Alice Faye (Brian) Stokes, Robert Joseph (Catrina) Sexton, Samuel Andrew (Michaela) Sexton, Angie Mae (Dee) Earwood and Anthoney Eugene (Debbie) Sexton. She loved and enjoyed 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Her final wishes were to be laid to rest in Portageville, MO with her parents and siblings.  She was loved very much because she had a heart of pure gold.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Interment will follow in the Portageville Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
