Alvin Monroe "Pod" Ashley, age 69, a resident of Yuma, AZ, died Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Arizona.

He was born December 26, 1949, to the late James Lewis and Opal Ruth Williams Ashley. He was a graduate of CHS class of 1967. He attended Southeast Missouri Start University briefly before entering the United States Air Force and serving our country until his retirement in 1992.

On October 21,1995, he married Tina Morgan, who survives of Yuma, Az.

He is survived by three sons, Matthew Ashley, Robbie Robinette and Tony Robinette; two daughters, Liza Ashley and Charlotte Green; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, James E. Ashley; and two sisters, Sharon F. Breuer and Tracy Leigh Pendergrass; along with several nephews and nieces and a multitude of cousins and friends

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Harvey and a nephew, Justin L Fiscus.

Per Al's wishes he will be cremated and his final resting place will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
