Amma Jean Glass Gross, age 90, of East Prairie, MO, passed away, Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, MO.
Born September 28, 1937, at Charleston, MO, to the late Woodrow Fleming Glass, Sr. and Lucille Mason Glass, she grew up in Mississippi County and after her high school graduation she attended the school of banking in St. Louis, MO. For a short time she lived in Cleveland, OH, where her husband was employed with ABF Commercial Trucking. They later returned to Mississippi County and spent a number of years living in East Prairie. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
On May 19, 1956, she married James Edward “Jim” Cloud, who preceded her in death June 13, 2019.
Surviving is her daughter, Debi (Larry) Witt of Harrisburg, AR; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Kasey) Witt, Denae (Bryan) Meadow and Spencer (Hailey) Cloud; five great grandchildren; her brother, Woodrow Fleming “Butch” Glass, Jr. and his wife Pat; her daughter in law, Terri Cloud; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Roger Cloud and Ed Cloud.
Family and friends may assemble for a committal service, at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the chapel of the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO. Johnny Hester will officiate.
Interment will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
