Angelia Kay Whitworth Ross

Angelia Kay Ross, age 61, of Sikeston, MO, died Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Born August 17, 1965, in St. Louis, MO, to the late David Lee Whitworth and Donna L. Barnes Whitworth, Angelia was graduate of Woodward High School in Woodward, OK. She later attended cosmetology school and then moved to Missouri. Having lived in Sikeston a number of years, she worked as a licensed cosmetologist for 30 years, retiring to take care of her husband when his health began to decline.

On April 23, 2014, she married Joseph “Joe” Ross, who preceded her in death September 20, 2018.

Survivors include her son, Curtis Arnold; her daughters, Brigitte Raschale Arnold, Kendra Shanee Arnold and Serenidee Raschale Johnson; her grandchildren, Colton Lynn Arnold and Atticus Rhett-Joseph Arnold; a dear friend, Stormy Inez Crane; her siblings, Cynthia “Cindy” Kakuta, David Whitworth, Carl (Tina) Whitworth, Sheila (Jerry) Mills, Sharon (Brad) Burns; and Valerie (Kenny) Phipps, two very special sisters in law, April Barnes Whitworth and Christine Merideth; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dwayne Whitworth.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time for funeral services at 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2026, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO. As per her wishes, cremation will follow.

Angie’s wishes would be for you to “come as you are and feel free to wear open toed shoes, so long as you do not have naked toes.”
