Anna Mae Bixler, 95, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 at Miner Nursing Center. She was born April 10, 1918 at Lamar, Ark. to the late Albert Sidney and Myrtle Iva (Harmon) Johnson. She was married to Milton B. Bixler March 12, 1937 in Johnson County, Arkansas and he preceded her in death April 10, 1988. She was a member of the Assemblies of God Church for over 50 years, and was faithful in teaching youth Sunday School classes. She had served as President of the Youth Group, counselor at church camps and Womens Ministries. Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Harley M. & Joan Bixler of Canalou, and Cordell & Jolene Bixler of Sikeston; 1 daughter and son=in-law, Marjorie Ann & Rev. Don Logan of New Orleans, LA.; 1 daughter-in-law, Louanna Bixler of Sikeston; 9 grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary W. Bixler, May 5, 2010, and by 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be from 10 am until 12 noon, Wednesday, Aug. 28. Funeral services will be at 12 noon in Blanchard Funeral Chapel with her son-in-law, Rev. Don Logan officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be her nine grandchildren, Teresa Operhall, Tamie Lung, Jonathan Logan, John Bixler, Paul Bixler, David Logan, Alan Bixler, Angie Barber and Tim Bixler.
