Annabelle Shelby Merideth

Annabelle S. Merideth, age 78, of Sikeston, died Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 7, 1944, at Sikeston, to the late Harley Layton Shelby and Lillie Bell Beck Shelby, she had lived in Sikeston her entire life.  For many years she was employed as a bookkeeper with Noranda and later Tetra Pak until her retirement.

On August 3, 1963, she married Carl Merideth, who survives of the home.

Also surviving is her son, Marcus Edward (Jen) Merideth of Irvine, CA; a special great nephew, Jace Merideth; two sisters of the heart, Donna Merideth and Mary Merideth; and a multitude of nieces and nephews as well as cousins that span several generations, all whom she loved very much.

Private family services will be conducted.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
