ANNE GOODIN BROWN, age 92, a resident of Cape Girardeau formerly of Charleston, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 1, 1921 in Charleston to the late Albert Vernon and Fannie Cox Goodin II.
She left Charleston in 1950, living in Akron, OH and St. Louis before returning to Charleston in 1980 and then moved to Cape Girardeau in 1991.

On June 8, 1945 she married Roger Q. Brown Jr. who preceded her in death on January 2, 1987.

Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Roger Q. and Beth Brown III; two daughters and sons in law, Myrtle and Bill Fredenburg of Florissant, CO and Suzanne and Phil Baily of Maple Valley, WA; 10 grandchildren, Roger Q Brown IV, Elizabeth Anne Eftink, Christian Lee Brown, William James Fredenburg, Wynn Goodin Fredenburg, Suzanne Johnson, Anna B. Laferriere, Laura K. Lanser, Jonathan Baily, and Sarah E. Hause; also 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Vernon Goodin III, Sam Cox Goodin, and one sister, Myrtle Goodin Smith.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013. Her son, Roger Q. Brown III, and her son in law, Bill Fredenburg, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Roger Q. Brown III, Bill Fredenburg, Roger Q. Brown IV, Christian Brown, James Fredenburg, Wynn Fredenburg, Adam Eftink, and Evan Johnson.
