Annie Marie Woodworth Black, age 73, died Friday, February 7, 2025, at her home in Charleston, MO.
Born February 28, 1951, at Cairo, IL, to the late Clyde Woodworth and Mary Dillard Woodworth, she had lived in Charleston most of her life and had attended the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston. Annie loved cooking, fishing, working in her yard and playing bingo. She was passionate when it came to her family and especially longed for answers to the situation around her missing son, Tony Woodworth. Annie was full of life and was the best mother and grandmother and a wonderful neighbor and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
On April 15, 1997, she married David Earl Black, Sr., who survives of the home.
Annie was the mother to Teresa (Heath) Vinson, Tonya (Devin) Blasingain, David (Trisha) Black, Jr., Kimberly (Jessica) Black and Tony Woodworth; grandmother to: Jason (Tyshana) Sams, Tim Vinson, II, Cody (Tana) Woodworth, Lance Simmerman, Sierra (Chris) Scott, Caitlin (Connor) McConkey, Britany (Chance) Krech, Jasmine, Brysen, Kayden, Realynn and Serenity Black, Angelina and Kaitlyn Thompson; 20 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, Amir Bridges and Karson Thompson; two sisters, Nellie Woodworth and Betty Linhart; brother in law, Glenn Black; sisters in law, Paula Cross, Darlene Eaton, Ruth Ely and Sherry Todd; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving is a special daughter, Rebecca Mathis and two very dear friends, Alice Neal and Lisa Radica.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Sassy Marie; her brother, Clyde Woodworth; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James R. Black and Geraldine Black; brother-in-law, Eddie Linhart; her sister-in-law, Gail Black; sons in law, Jay Sams, Tim Vinson, Sr. and Vernon Evans; her nephew, Eugene Woodworth and her great niece, Angelica Koch.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. David McLucas, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
The Pallbearers will be David Black, Jr., Heath Sayler, Jason Sams, Tim Vinson, II, Cody Woodworth, Chris Scott, Connor McConkey and Chance Krech.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jayce Earnheart, Jayden Sams and D'Shun Jones.
