Apollo Graham, beloved fur baby of Karsyn Graham and Griffin Graham, crossed over the rainbow bridge early Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Charleston.
Apollo was a loving and sweet dog. He quickly became a Charleston icon. Apollo was known for his friendly personality and prancing gait. He could be spotted by his fluffy tail, bouncing about, as he made his daily rounds to all of the businesses and homes around downtown.
Additional survivors include his beloved family, Clinton and Tabatha Graham; Toni Graham, Kane Thurman, Ayleigh Thurman, Tom and Melissa Graham, Alen and Janie Pemberton and J.T. and Sharon Johnson, as well as a host of dear downtown Charleston friends.
From Karsyn- "Apollo came into our lives like a gift straight from God. Our mom told us she didn't want a dog unless it was a German Shepherd or Husky. Little did she know that we would get a little bit of both. There isn't a word good enough to describe how good that dog really was. Our family has been so blessed to call him ours. It has also been an honor to share such a sweet soul like our beloved Apollos. Thank you to all who have made an impact on our family through him."
From Griffin- "I was about two years old when we first got Apollo. I would climb on him, and he didn't care what I did to him at all. Some unique things about Apollo are: he had two different colored eyes, one light blue and one brown. He would run to town and have fun. He was very friendly to everybody. He loved the Scoop's ice cream and pizza. One time he carried a whole pizza in his mouth home to eat. Apollo was a GREAT gift from God, and we had an AMAZING time with him. My family and I will never forget Apollo."
In honor of Apollo's kind spirit – Apollo would ask you to be kind to other dogs who happened to be about town. You may just be that little bit of love they need in their lives.
Memorials in Apollo's memory may be made to CHARM, downtown Charleston, as Apollo always attended and supported their events.
Cremation will be handled by his beloved family at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where Apollo visited almost daily.
