ARTHUR GALE NUNLEY, Age 48, a resident of Bertrand, died Thursday, July 9, 2009 near Fulton, Missouri.
Born April 4, 1961 at Princeton, KY to Mary O. Hook Nunley who survives of Memphis, TN and the late Robert M. Nunley, he grew up in Memphis, TN and was a graduate of Ole Miss University at Oxford, MS. In 2000, he moved from Dayton, TX to Bertrand and was employed with the Bootheel Tractor Company at East Prairie, MO. A member of the Elm Street Baptist Church at Charleston, MO, his daily walk with Jesus was important to him. He was a loving father and grandfather and loved his family.
On September 22, 1990, he married Deborah Glidewell, who survives of the home.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are: three daughters, Jennifer M. Johnston, Jessica E. Nunley and Lauren G. Nunley all of Bertrand, MO; one brother and sister in law, Tom L. and Mali Nunley of Memphis, TN; his extended family, Riley and Betty Barrett of Heth, AR; Fred and Mickey Glidewell of Memphis, TN and Tami and Jimmy Richardson of Charleston, MO; one granddaughter, Emma Grace Johnston of Bertrand, MO; also one niece, two nephews and four great nieces.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Robert Dale Nunley.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Elm Street Baptist Church at Charleston, MO where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2009. Jon Archie, Pastor, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, MO under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Charlie Marcum, Dickie Sanders, Jimmy Richardson, Zach Richardson, Randale Nunley and Mike Green.
