ARTHUR RAY PHILLIPS, age 71, of Charleston, died Thursday, November 26, 2020, at the SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO.

Born May 29, 1949, at St. Louis, MO, to the late Arthur Lee Phillips and Susan Emma Rhymer Gaede, he was a retired U.S. Army Veteran having served 21 years.   He had lived in Charleston the past few years where he was a member of the V.F.W. Post 4294 and the New Beginnings Fellowship.

On August 26, 1968, he married Pansay Brown, who survives of the home.

Also surviving is his son, Arthur R. Phillips, Jr., of West Frankfort, IL; his daughters, Tina (Mike) Borders and Sandra Phillips of Charleston; grandchildren, Alex Phillips, Bradley Phillips, Kalup Phillips, Justin Borders and Courtney Borders and great grandchildren, Hunter Grace Phillips and Carson Phillips.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Billie Anne Phillips.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Ron Aldridge will officiate.

Interment will follow with military honors will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
