Arvada Shanks Reddick

ARVADA SHANKS REDDICK, 95, formerly of Sikeston, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at her home in Almo, KY.

Born June 17, 1923, at Sikeston, MO, to the late Virgil Victor Shanks and Alpha Bell Williams Shanks, she had lived in Sikeston a number of years before moving to Ottawa, IL and then later to Almo, KY. She was of the Assembly of God belief.

On June 5, 1945, she married Clyde Thomas Reddick, who preceded her in death on September 28, 1998.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Robert (Eugenia) May of Almo, KY and Clayton Virgil (Cindy) Reddick of Ottawa, IL; one daughter, Florence May (Jim) Heavner of Almo, KY; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Karen Elizabeth May and by one sister, Aretta Mattison.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Unity Cemetery near Benton, MO.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
