Barbara Stanley Chappell, age 82, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at her home in Sikeston.

She was born June 8, 1939, at Portageville, to Harris Albert and Ester Mildred Storey Stanley. Barbara was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ and was a graduate of Portageville High School. She was a homemaker and housewife, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

On February 2, 1973, she married Herbert W. Chappell, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children, Pamela Blanton, Nancy (Louis) May, Randy (Dorothy) Davidson, Ronnie (Bobbi Jo) Davidson of Sikeston and Misty (Kent) Campbell of Murray, KY; her stepchildren, Becky Frias and Cindy Chappell of Sikeston, MO; her grandchildren, Joshua Hunter of Miami Beach, FL; C.L. Blanton of Cape Girardeau, MO; Ashley Guthrie, Shay May, Caleb Davidson and Erin Boese of Sikeston; Ronnie Davidson of Bloomfield, MO; Paige Otradovec and Mitchell Otradovec of Sikeston; Trey Davidson of Oran, MO and Tripp Campbell of Murray, KY; her stepgrandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Stanley and Jackie Stanley, and one sister, Patricia Kimbrough.

Private services will be held under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.
