BARBARA ANN DEASON HARPER, age 73, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born September 10, 1947, to Benjamin and Beatrice Crook Deason and had lived in Sikeston area most of her life. She had been employed at Brown Shoe Company in Charleston, as a cook at the Charleston High School and later at Mexican Villa.   She was of Pentecostal belief.

In 1967, she married Leland Harper, who preceded her in death in 2013.

Surviving are her sons, Paul (Candy) Harper of Essex and Chad (Ruby) Harper of Hermann, MO; grandchildren, Skyler Harper, Alexis Harper, Austin Harper, Bailey Vance, Landon Harper, Bradon Harper and Hazel Harper; great granddaughter, Brylee Grace Head.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her adoptive parents, Roy and Clara B. Owens, and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until noon, Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Private burial will be at a later date.
