Barbara Ellen Bridges Love, age 87, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, at her home in Sikeston.

She was born May 30, 1935, at Clarksville, Arkansas, to the late Baxter Lee "B.L." Bridges and Velma Mae White Bridges.  Barbara had lived in Sikeston most of her life where she had been employed at Britt's Department Store and then later as a librarian with Sikeston Public Library for a number of years until her retirement.  She and her family enjoyed time camping and boating at Wappapello Lake for many years.  She especially enjoyed her time with her great grandson Toby.

She was married to Ronald Garry Love who preceded her in death.

Surviving is her son, Ronald David Love of Sikeston; her daughter, Karen Diane (Mark) Turner of Benton; her granddaughters, Krista (Justin) Morton of Sikeston and Ashley Nicole Taylor of San Francisco, CA; two great grandsons, Tobias Grant Morton and Lucas Braeden Morton; also, her sisters, Patsy, Virginia and Glenda all of Sikeston.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tommie Bridges.

Family and friends may assemble for graveside services at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Interment will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
