BARBARA ANNETTE PRATT, age 74, of Sikeston, died Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 6, 1946, at Columbia, MO to Louis Adam and Wanda Maxine Baker Bolden. She later moved to Sikeston and was a member of Job's Daughters International. Barbara went on to work as an x-ray technician at Missouri Delta Medical Center for 35 years until she eventually retired in 2008. She loved going camping and to Bluegrass festivals. Big family gatherings were her thing, Barbara loved to cook. She loved spending time with her family, from having big Halloween parties for her grandchildren, to baking gingerbread cookies and turtle candies at Christmas time. She was a member of the Birds Corner Assembly of God Church.
On August 23, 1985, she married William Edgar "Ed" Pratt, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Scott (Tina) Price of St. Louis, MO; Denise Mayberry of Bernie, MO; Gregg (Susan) Price of Sikeston, MO; Angela (Kelly) Howe of Springfield, MO; and Lynette (Tonya) Taylor of Poplar Bluff; 13 grandchildren, Tony Price, Marissa Price, Morgan Mayberry, Lane Mayberry, Matthew Price, Kathryn Price, Rick Byrd, Adam Byrd, Emily Byrd, Ally Howe, Taylor Howe, Emma Howe and Andrew Howe.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Campbell.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Monday, March 8, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in the Sikeston chapel.
Private interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gregg Price, Scott Price, Ricky Byrd, Tony Price, Adam Byrd, and Lane Mayberry.
