Barbara Jean Ray McKinley, age 84, of East Prairie, died Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Aspire Senior Living Center in East Prairie.

Born March 26, 1939, at East Prairie, to the late Ernest Ray and Jewel Brewington Ray, she had lived in East Prairie her entire life. Barbara was a 1957 graduate of East Prairie High School where she was named the first Homecoming Queen.  She and her husband owned and operated the Countryside Insurance and Real Estate Agency for many years.

On December 29, 1958, she married William Elgin "Bill" McKinley, who preceded her in death February 18, 1998.

Surviving are her two daughters, Lisa Brown and Dana (Bryan) Housman, both of East Prairie; her grandchildren, Emily (Erik Rodgers) Brown, Kasie (David Ritchie) Housman and Chad (Macey) Housman; her great grandchildren, Riley Brown, Greyson Rodgers, McKinley Housman, Lane Housman and Liam Rodgers.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son in law, David "Slick" Brown; her great grandson, Lathen Rodgers, her brother, John Edward Ray and her sister, Ernestine Ray Hubbard.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Dogwood Cemetery.
