Barbara Ann (Haley) Sanderson,  71, earned her wings at on March 2, 2022, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Barbara was born on May 11, 1950, in Cairo, Illinois, to Fred and Betty Presson Haley. Barbara lived most of her life in Mississippi County, she graduated in 1968 from Charleston High School. Barbara was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Charleston.

Barbara was such a happy go lucky person and never met a stranger. She loved giving hugs to everyone, when she said hello and definitely before goodbye.

Barbara loved her family most of all and bragged about them every chance she got, to anyone who would listen.

Barbara loved to shop and dress up in anything that sparkled. She loved getting her hair done weekly by her dear friend Wanda Shoffner. She had a heart of gold and loved her Lord.

Barbara is preceded in death by her mother and father, Fred and Betty Presson Haley, her late husband, Steve Sanderson and a dear friend, Larry Pope.

Barbara is survived by her only child, Branden (LaurieLee) Caid of Benton, Mo; Grandchildren, Austin (Amanda) Hamby of Cape Girardeau; Madison (Jonathan) Lawrence of Madisonville KY; Lucas Caid, Allison Caid of Benton, Mo and Katelyn Werner of Cape Girardeau, Mo; Great Grandchildren, David Hamby and Amelia Hamby of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Sisters, Sandy Miller of TN and Terri Haley of Millersville, Mo. and a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great niece and nephews whom she loved more than words can ever express.
