BEATRICE ELIZABETH ROLWING, Age 89, a resident of Charleston, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Charleston Manor.
Born September 27, 1922, at Pocahontas, AR, to the late Rufus Luther and Emma Marie Weaver Foster, she had lived in Charleston most of her life where she was the owner and operator of beauty shops and ladies apparel stores. She was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church, the Charleston Art League and the former Charleston Business and Professional Women's Club.
On January 28, 1952, she married William G. Rolwing, who preceded her in death on March 6, 1990.
Surviving are: two sons and daughters in law, Michael and Judy Rolwing of Charleston and Kenneth and Helen Rolwing of Washington, MO; one brother, Bill Foster of Wildwood, FL; five grandchildren, Nicole and Scott Pullen of Scott City; Elizabeth Rolwing and Dr. Jeff Griesemer of Charleston; Kristin and Jason Renaud of Charleston, Alex Rolwing and Sean Rolwing both of Washington, MO; five great grandchildren, Lauren Pullen, Leah Pullen, Evan Griesemer, Will Renaud and Collin Renaud.
One Brother, A.J. Foster, preceded her in death.
As were her wishes, an anatomical gift of her body was made to the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
