BEAULAH MARGURIETTE SWANK BRUNELL, Age 95, formerly of Mississippi County, MO and Poplar Bluff, MO, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Oberon House Assisted Living Center in Arvada, CO.
She was born February 26, 1919, at Wyatt, MO to the late William Alfred and Alma Fern Hankins Swank.
She is survived by her two daughters: Leveata Thaning of Port Townsend Washington and Evette Bissett of Denver, Colorado. Mrs. Brunell was the last survivor of the twelve children of Alma and William Swank formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
During her lifetime Mrs. Brunell was a Navy wife, a deputy sheriff and worked for and retired from the Air Force Finance Center. During her retirement years she followed her childhood dream of becoming an artist. She was very talented and painted lovely oil and water colors. Her paintings were well received and many were sold. Her artwork will live on as a tribute to her.
Services will be held on January 15th, at 1 p.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. MO
She was interred in her family's plot at Rush Ridge Cemetery near Wyatt, Missouri.
