BERTIE R. WARREN, AGE 99, formerly of Diehlstadt, died Tuesday, May 03, 2011 at the Miner Nursing Center.
Born January 2, 1912 at Rover, Missouri the late John and Lillie French Baty, she had lived in Mississippi and Scott counties most of her life and was a homemaker. She had worked as postmaster at Rover, Missouri for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Diehlstadt.
She married Cecil Warren who preceded her in death on April 1, 1996.
Surviving are: one daughter and son in law, Betty and Richard Gage of Bertrand; three granddaughters; Kathy (Randy) Arnett, missionaries located in Abdjan , West Africa. Karen (Mark ) Chronister of Sikeston and Cindy ( Mark ) Silman of Benton, also 7 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Bonnie Sue, one son, Roger Warren, on January 26, 1971, three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home. Rev. Darin Watkins, pastor of the Diehlstadt Baptist Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery at Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Andy Silman, Allan Silman, John "Scott" Chronister, Keith Chronister, Mark Silman, and Mark Chronister.
