ELIZABETH ANN GILMORE DANT, age 61 of Shaker Heights, OH, formerly of rural Charleston, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Beloved wife of 34 years to Alan Hale Dant; dearest mother of Christopher Joseph Dant and Margaret Elizabeth Dant; loving daughter of Jamie and Joyce Hise Gilmore; dear sister of Kerry Gilmore (Ginny) and Joseph Gilmore; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Born May 20, 1963, at Sikeston, MO, Beth grew up discovering life on a farm. A 1981 graduate of Charleston High School, Charleston, MO, Beth went on to graduate from The University of Mississippi, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She received her degree in pharmacy in 1986 and took great pride as a career pharmacist.

Beth was a born nurturer and would naturally wax poetic about everything from her cherished King Charles Spaniel to a fabulous, treasured piece of fabric. Beth was an epicurean, from her bright colors and meticulously put together attire to her exquisite garden and remarkable tablescapes. Beth perfected the art of Southern entertaining and relished her time laughing and celebrating with friends, neighbors, and family.

Beth was a deeply spiritual person who found her true self in reaching out to people in need and leading with empathy and compassion. Beth embodied the mission of God through her selflessness for others and triumphant heart.

Beth loved to travel. This passion of hers was honed in her immaculate ability to seek unrivaled destinations. Beth artfully curated and planned her most recent family trip to Ireland which will forever be cherished by Alan, Chris, and Maggie.

The Funeral Mass Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 19000 Van Aken Blvd., Shaker Heights, OH 44122.
