Betty Jean Bruce

BETTY JEAN HAYNES BRUCE, 59, formerly of Charleston, died Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Kingwood, Texas.

Born December 12, 1959, at Bloomington, IN, to the late John E. Haynes and Martha E. Gunter Haynes Rolan, she was a graduate of Charleston High School and later moved to Arizona where she lived in McNeal and later Sierra Vista and had been employed with Bisbee Hospital in Bisbee, AZ as a data entry specialist. She later moved to Kingwood, TX to be near her family.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Bruce.

Also surviving are her sons, John Haynes of Douglas, AZ and Anthony (Amanda) Haynes of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren, Faith, Casius, Landon and Alex; brothers, Jim (Wanda) Houston of St. Charles, MO, John (Tammy) Haynes of Winfield, MO and Phillip Haynes of Charleston, MO; sisters, Nancy (Terrill) Borne of Spring, TX, Jackie (Dwayne) Blain of Nebo, KY, Kimberly (David) Rogers of Princeton, KY and Chandra Forrester of Fulton, KY.

Besides her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Paula Wilson and her stepfather, John Rolan.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Rev. J. Robert Webster, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
