BETTY EULENE GENTLES EMERICK, 74, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at her home in East Prairie, MO.

Born June 26, 1945, at New Madrid, MO, to the late James Robert Gentles and Jean Eulene Pugh Gentles. She had lived in East Prairie most of her life.

On June 7, 1975, she married Ronald Leroy Emerick, who preceded her in death, October 10, 2014.

Surviving are her son, Charles Martin Davidson of Fingerville, SC; and daughters, Charlotte Jean Davidson Phillips of Hazlehurst, MS and Jody Inez Pruett of East Prairie; her brothers, Jim Gentles of Shawneetown, IL and Wayne (Karen) Gentles of East Prairie; her sister, Charlotte (Mike) Keller of East Prairie; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Thomas Jean Davidson; granddaughter, Amiya Tolson; her brothers, Dalton Gentles and Ray Gentles; and her sisters, Joyce Gentles, Linda Chisenall and Pauline Lasters.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Pastor Jimmy Allen of East Prairie, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
