Betty Sue True Forrest, 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born Feb. 26, 1933 in Charleston to the late Harry and Erma (Cagle) Brewer. She had attended Murray Lane Baptist Church while living in Sikeston and Shawnee Hill Baptist Church after moving to Jackson. She had been a nurse at Southeast Hospital, the Lutheran Home and Miner Nursing Center. She was first married to Rev. Lee True in Osceola, Arkansas on June 21, 1950. Later on Feb. 14,, 1999 she married Albrie Dale Forrest in Sikeston and he preceded her in death Feb. 17, 2005. Survivors include 2 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, Dr. Terry True of Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Dale & Faith True of Cape Girardeau; 1 daughter, Leah Kay Kestner-True of Groverland, Florida; and 1 sister, Katherine Donaldson Denning of Jackson. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren Adrian True of St. Louis, Ashley True of Cape Girardeau, Carina Bower of Groverland and Caitlin Bower & Cody Bower of Clermont, Florida. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by 3 daughters, Harriet Sue True, Susan Renee True and Sherry Lee True and by 1 sister, Dorothy Ledbetter. Graveside services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 Noon on Friday, Jan. 18, with Rev. Dewayne Coleman, pastor of Canalou Baptist Church officiating.
