BETTY SUE RUSSELL HUMPRHEYS, Age 74, died Monday, June 6, 2011, at her home in Charleston.
Born June 17, 1936 at Lawrenceburg, TN, to the late James Harrison and Martha Elizabeth McCurry Russell, she had lived in Charleston most of her life were she was a farm leader for the Sam Babb Farms and had attended the Wyatt Baptist Church.
On August 20, 1967, she married Donald Martin Humphreys, who preceded her in death August 10, 1991.
Surviving is: one son, Donald Martin Humphreys of Charleston; one brother, Claude H. Russell of Sikeston; four sisters, Margaret Ann Helms, Emma Lou Neal and Mary Bell Dement all of East Prairie and Billie Jane Aycock of Charleston. Three grandchildren, Donald Martin Humphreys, III; Karry Dawn Humphreys and Selena Crawford.
Preceding her in death were four brothers, Lewis Junior Russell, James Carlos Russell, William Edward Russell and Joseph Jefferson Russell.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Bill Adkisson of East Prairie, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Casey Holman, Michael Groves, Mike Russell, Jamie Matney, Chris Russell and John Aycock.
