Betty Jane McKinley

Betty Jane McKinley, age 84, of Bertrand, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at the Miner Nursing Center.

Born Oct. 30, 1936, to the late Arthur and Sue Murphy Parr, she was one of 10 children, all of whom preceded her in death except for one sister, Nancy Hurst of Sikeston.

On May 1, 1954, she married the late Charles McKinley, and they both lived their whole lives in Bertrand.

She has three children, Janie Dukes (Ken), Jeff McKinley (Sonya), and Sarah Reeves.

She has three grandsons and one great-grandson.

She was a Lady Elk for years at Sikeston Elks Lodge and worked for MFA Oil for over 10 years until retirement at age 60.

There will be no funeral services.

A cemetery service for immediate family only is planned.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
