Obituary
BETTY LEONA NORMAN, Age 73, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at her home in Elco, Illinois.
Born October 5, 1940, at Wyatt, MO, to the late Martin George and Hattie L. Moore Hedge, she had lived in St. Louis a number of years where she was employed at Frisco until her retirement. She moved to Elco, IL eight years ago where she had attended the Elco Baptist Church.
On November 16, 1957, she married Jerry Dean Hale, who preceded her in death on March 31, 1978. She then married James Norman, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are: one brother, James Morrow of Elco, IL; four sisters, Bonnie Pinter of Bogalusa, LA; Opal Comans of Pearl, MS; Mary Brimm of Cape Girardeau, MO and Karen Faye Coleman of Tifton, GA. Also, a number of nieces and nephews survive.
Also preceding her in death were five brothers, Bud Hedge, Curtis Hedge, Alvin Hedge, Donald Hedge and Tommy Hedge and two sisters, Rita Comstock and Barbara Comans.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. John Watson, pastor of the Elco Baptist Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Scott Hedge, Charles Hedge, Dale Kinder, Dewayne Brimm, Donald Hedge and Allen Morrow.
