Obituary
BETTY HILL PEPPER, age 81, died Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the Providence Hospital in Columbia, SC.
She was born January 1, 1937 in Fulton, MS to James Henry and Annie Mae Rhyne Hill. She moved to Mississippi County at a young age and then moved to St. Louis where she lived most of her life, moving to Elgin, South Carolina in 2010.
On December 8, 1962 she married Tommy Dean Pepper Sr. who preceded her in death May 21, 1995.
Surviving are two sons, Dan Long of Elgin, SC, and Tommy D. Pepper Jr., of Arnold; two daughters, Deborah Robinson of Gilbert, AZ and Melissa Harris of Festus; three sisters, Judy Hill of Dexter, Ivanell Hudson of Advance, Sue Davis of Sikeston; also 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Jerry Robinson, one grandson, Kyle Harris, two brothers, Judson B. "J.B". Hill and Alfred Hill; and one sister, Ocell Hamilton.
Visitation will be held at the McMikle Funeral Home on Friday, October 26, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. Johnny Hester of Sikeston will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hill, Stanley Harris, Paul Harper, Jamie Hamilton, Phillip Robinett, and Jimmy Hudson.
