Obituary

Betty Lue Saulsbery, 73, a lifelong resident of this area, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born March 7, 1941 in Sikeston to the late Alvie D. and Maggie Ruth (Tillman) Wyatt. On June 30, 1958 she was married to Pearl E. Saulsbery in Morehouse and he survives of the home. She had been a Certified Nurse Assistant at the Diagnostic Center and for V.N.A. In addition to her husband she is survived by 4 daughters, Margie (Saulsbery) & Perry Gaskins of Sikeston; Eva & Bill Westmoreland of Sikeston; Kathy & Alan Oberbeck of Jackson; Loretta Franklin of Sikeston; and 1 special family member, David Franklin of New Madrid. One sister, Dottie Lutes of Morehouse and 7 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren also survive. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am Thursday, Dec. 4 until time for services at 12 Noon in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Gibson, pastor of the New Covenant Church in Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow at the Dogwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Masegian, Jr, Kenneth Masegian, Edward Louis Saulsbery, David Franklin, Jr., Alan Oberbeck, and Perry Gaskins.
