Betty Sue Brown, age 94, of Wyatt, MO, died Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born January 23, 1930, at Wyatt, MO, to the late Emory Brown and Rose Etta Baugh Brown, she had lived in Wyatt her entire life. Betty was a member of the Wyatt United Methodist Church and when it closed became a member of the United Methodist Church of Charleston.  She had been employed a number of years with Brown Shoe Company in Charleston until her retirement.  Betty loved her family. She cared for her parents and her siblings for many years with great love.

Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Bart and Karen Carr, Susan and Larry Quade, Jeanne and Gary Adkisson and Ernest and Wenona Brown; also, a number of great nieces, great nephews and her special cousins, Sandra Whybark, Donna Bramlett, Olinda Borders and Tommy Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sisters, Ernest Brown, Florence Carr, Glenna Taylor and Gladys Sevic.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Kenneth Gibson of Wyatt will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Ernie Brown, Bart Carr, Richie Swain, Steven Galemore, Rick Galemore and Corey Adkisson.
