BETTY LOU WARD BAILEY, age 78, a resident of Sikeston, died Friday February 7, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 15, 1941 in Bertrand to Seamon O. Alexander and Miriam L. Jackman Alexander and had lived in Southeast Missouri her entire life. She lived many years in Sikeston where she was a charter member of the New Hope Baptist Church, was the owner and operator of Betty's Maid Service until her retirement and enjoyed oil painting of landscapes and portraits.

In August 1958 she married Robert Howard "Bob" Ward who preceded her in death on September 27, 2001. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Shawn G. Ward; one brother, Jerry Alexander; and one brother in law, Gary Newman.
Surviving are one brother, Steve (Donna) Alexander of Sikeston; one sister, Rita Newman of Eldridge; one sister in law, Brenda Alexander of Sikeston; also several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be scheduled at later date under the directions of McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
