Bill Lough

George William "Bill" Lough, 93, of Bertrand, died Monday, August 7, 2023.

Born July 4, 1930, at Charleston, MO, to the late Charles Milton Lough, Sr. and Grace Gant Lough, he had lived south of Bertrand most of his life where he was engaged in farming and was a landowner.  He was of Baptist belief and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

On April 24, 1954, he married Nora Edith Lindsey, who survives of Bertrand.

Also surviving is his daughter, Jane Ellen Lough Wakeman; his grandchildren, Justin (Jess) Hubbert; Vivian Lynn (Vernon) Johnson; Amber Lough and Holly Barenbaum; also, six great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Lindsey "Billy" Lough; his granddaughter, Nicole Lough Williams and his brother and sisters, Bud, Rose, Mary, Edna, Gusta and Evelyn.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
