Obituary

William Joseph "Bill" Patterson, age 76, of Sikeston, MO, died Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO

Born on October 17,1949, by Mother Shelia 'Rae' Vitale.  William known as Bill will be following his wife Tammy Pagano into the hereafter where they will live together again and despite being separated might rekindle the love they once shared. Bill loved his wife but unfortunately it was hard for him to show her what his heart undoubtedly felt.

He leaves behind three children. Christopher William Patterson, his eldest and most cherished. Despite their differences it will always be known that Christopher loved his father, and Bill unconditionally loved his son. His second Ashley Elilene Gilliam with whom he lived with during his last years. She recounts a particularly happy moment when he came and sat in her room just to shoot the shit as he would say and that moment truly meant the world to her. Other times where they would do the same was while she was cooking just talking about anything and everything and those were her favorite times with him. His youngest Paige Patterson, now Paige was very much a daddy's girl always striving for her father's attention and approval. Paige recounts how alike she felt they were. From their fascination with sci fi movies to how they both can talk in excess; she loved to talk to him about Homers the Iliad and the Odyssey. Bill also leaves behind his secondary son, Tyler Gilliam, but he wouldn't say secondary he would say his youngest son. Him and Tyler loved nothing more than to shoot the shit within the man cave aka the shop talking about everything especially cars and life in general.

His early life was spent righteously on the waves in Oxnard California. His favorite spot being Twin poles. His other passion was riding his Harley and telling his stories to anyone within earshot. That's one thing we loved about Bill; he was an ear and a voice to rely on. Bill has gone to his rightful place amongst the moon and stars to dance again to the Ink Spots with his beloved Grandmother and hopefully he has learned the truth about whether aliens exist or not.

From Tyler: MAY THE ROAD rise up to meet you... MAY THE WIND be always at your back... MAY THE SUN SHINE warm upon your face.... AND the rains fall soft upon your fields… AND UNTIL we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand...ILL CATCH YOU ON THE FLIP SIDE MY FRIEND

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
