BILLY GENE COGDILL, Age 83, died Friday, November 10, 2017, at his home in East Prairie.

Born March 17, 1934, in the Deventer Community of Mississippi County, Missouri, to the late Jim and Hazel Lane Cogdill, he was a 1952 graduate of Charleston High School and had lived in East Prairie most of his life. He worked in the agricultural industry most of his life until he retired. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend.

On November 16, 1954, he married Wanda Brown, and she survives of the home in East Prairie.

Also surviving are his sons: Tony (Lisa) Cogdill and Jeff (Jody) Cogdill of East Prairie.

Seven grandchildren, Chase Cogdill, Joey Cogdill, Danielle Cogdill, Wendy Knupp, Matthew McClendon, Aubrey Cogdill and Nicholas Cogdill.

Eight great grandchildren, Libby Cogdill, Logan Knupp, Nathan Owens, Emily Burrell, Dylan Burrell, Kennedy Codgill, Graham Cogdill and Raleigh Cogdill.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Floyd Cogdill, Eugene Cogdill, George Cogdill, Frank Cogdill, Mervin Cogdill and Harold Cogdill and by three sisters, Opal Cogdill, Oline Laughlin and Mary Delk.

Private services will be held. McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
