Billy Joe Gadberry, Sr., 85, a resident of Bloomfield, died May 17, 2017 at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter. He was born June 30, 1931 at Monette, Arkansas to the late Archie Alford and Aritha Isabelle (McAninch) Gadberry. He was married to Quindola M. Davis on March 8, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas and she survives of the home. Billy had attended school in Morley, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and then pastored and evangelized in various churches for over 43 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons: Rev. Billy J. (Tina) Gadberry, II of Petersburg, Indiana; Gary (Patty) Gadberry of Advance; and Donnie Gadberry of Bloomfield; one daughter, Kathie (Jamie) Heflin of Kensett, Arkansas; one brother, Mike Gadberry of Sikeston; and one sister, Sue Marchbank of Van Buren. Eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 daughter, 1 brother and 4 sisters. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel Friday from 11:00 am until time for services at 1:00 pm.; his son , Rev. Billy J. Gadberry, II from Indiana will officiate and burial will follow at 3:00 pm at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Alex Valentcia, Roy Carthorn, Nick Ginardi, Johnathan Gadberry, Jay Gadberry and Hamilton Gadberry; and honorary pallbearers will be Mike Bell, Zane Bell and Rylan Gadberry.
