Billy "Gene" Hall, 81, died Thursday May 28, 2015 at Miner Nursing Home. He was born May 19, 1934 near Sikeston to the late Adlee and Beulah (Powers) Hall. A long-time resident of Sikeston, he moved back here about twelve years ago from Buffalo, MO; he had been an automobile mechanic at Otasco for years when he lived here before. He was united in marriage July 8, 1966 to Ida Aliean Bone in Sikeston and she preceded him in death Aug. 26, 1991. He is survived by 2 sons: Harold (Barbara) Britt of Sikeston and Rickie (Susan) Hall of Perryville; 4 daughters: Patricia (Donnie) O'Dell, Terry Britt, Monnie (Greg) McDonald all of Sikeston and Lisa (Charles) Overton of Matthews; 3 brothers: Jack Hall of Nixa, Don Hall of St. Claire, and Fred Hall of Buffalo; and by one sister, Sue Dampier of Urbana. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday May 31 at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 12 noon until time for services at 2:00 pm. Rev. Allen Basham, pastor of Cape First Church of Sikeston will officiate and burial will follow at Armer Cemetery near Bertrand.
