Obituary

BILLY G. WATSON, age 76 a resident of rural Charleston, MO died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Charleston Manor in Charleston.

Born August 20, 1936 in the Lusk Chapel Community of Scott County, to the late William Albert Watson and Ophelia Franklin Watson, he had lived in rural Charleston his entire life where he was a landowner and farmer. A member of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston, he had served with the Missouri National Guard, and was a member of the Gateway Toy Club in St. Louis, MO.

On May 14, 1960, he married Ruth Jackson who survives of the home.

Surviving are two sons, William Albert (Collette) Watson II of Dalton City, IL, Darrell (Sherri) Watson of Charleston; five granddaughters, Mary Beth (Chuck) Fuson of Fowlerville, MI, Brittaney (Jason) Hillyer and Courtney (David) Hicks all of Decater, IL, Gabrielle Watson of Dalton City, IL, and Davina Watson of St. Charles; five great-grandchildren; Tessa and Hannah Fuson, Isabella and Edward Hillyer and Hunter Hicks; one sister; Olga Mae Perry of Charleston, his father in law, Harvie Jackson of East Prairie, and two sisters-in-law; Barbara Chapman and Janice (Jimmy) Nolen all of rural Bertrand.

He was preceded in death by one sister; Margaret Fox and 3 brothers-in-law; Bill Fox, Jesse Perry and Jack Chapman.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Friday, March 15, 2013 at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston, officiating.


Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donnie McBride, Kenny New, James Sneed, Don Gage, Phillip Showmaker, Leslie Collier, Rick Alvey, and Jerry Whittington.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Pierce, Lee Showmaker, Oliver Kirkpatrick, Marvin Fluegge, Hunter Rolwing, Robert Henry and Forest Guiling.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Assembly of God Church, 608 S. Main, Charleston, MO 63834.
