Obituary

BLAKE WILLIAMS

Whitney Blake Williams, born October 2, 1985, in Saginaw, MI, to Norma Williams and the late David Williams.  He attended Charleston High School and was the second youngest in a family of five boys.  He departed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

His oldest brother, Stanley Whitney; maternal grandparents, Tim and Elsie Whitney; paternal grandparents, Richard and Marie Williams; aunt, Mary Williams and uncle, James Williams, all preceded him in death.

Blake confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of the House of Prayer in Charleston, Missouri. Blake loved spending time with his family, especially his two favorite cousins, Ray Parker and Fredrick Chappell. He liked taking his family out to eat and laughing and having a good time. He loved playing games, drawing and sitting in the park.  Blake was very kindhearted and wished only the best for everyone.

Blake leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Norma Whitney; his brothers, Zachery Williams, Desrone Williams and David Williams and all of Charleston, as well as a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
