Bobby Allen Cole, 72 of Charleston, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.

Born May 6, 1938 in Dorena, MO,to the late Thomas Andrew and Nellie Gladys Brown Cole, he was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Charleston. He was employed at Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston for 24 years, and later by Levee District #3 in Wyatt, until ill health forced his retirement in 1992.
On June 19, 1956 in East Prairie, he was married to Patricia Ann (Pat) McMinn, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Billy Fox of Sikeston and Penny and Paul Davis of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Dee Cole of Portage, IN; three sisters, Helen Nevil of Dresden, TN, Faye Archie of South Fulton, TN, and Ruby Busby of Bartlett, TN; two grandchildren, Ryan Fox of Sikeston and Brooke Davis of Poplar Bluff; his mother-in-law, Eloise McMinn of Sikeston; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant son, Ricky Allen Cole; one brother, James Cole; and his father-in-law, Thomas McMinn.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Feburary 10, 2011, from 12:30p.m. until time of services at 2:00p.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, with Rev. Ted Wimberley, pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church of Charleston officiating.

Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Billy Fox, Paul Davis, Wilbert Wolford, Marvin Wolford, Paul Eldridge and Ken Stevenson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Joe Helms, Gene Hall, Sonny Bickford, Richard Sutton and Tommy Humphrey.
