Bobby Darrell Landers, age 87, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024, at his home in Sikeston, surrounded by his loving family.

Born March 17, 1937, at Morehouse, MO, to the late Richard and Edna Crozier Landers, he was a 1955 graduate of Morehouse High School. Bobby then served in the United States Air Force and following his honorable discharge from military service, took at position as a weight station operator with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.  He was one of the first two to work in the newly built Troop E Satellite station near Sikeston.  Bobby later went to work with the United States Post office in Sikeston, retiring in 2003.    Bob was a very humble man.

Bob married Patricia A. Wallen, and they were the parents of Belinda Worthy, Kevin (Sandy) Landers and Michael Keith Landers.  He had five grandchildren, Adam Worthy, Blake Worthy, Bobby Landers, Richard (Sarah) Landers and Samantha (Max) McNeely; four great grandchildren, Aubreigh, Kynley, Heath and Bryce; also, three sisters in law and three brothers-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Richard (Dick) Landers; his son in law, Jerry Worthy; his nephew, Don Moore; his great niece, Katy Watkins.  and his mother-in-law, Lucille Cline Wallen.

We would like to thank Dr. Bryant for all his excellent care and service he facilitated and provide for Bob. A special thank you to Janelle Burnes for her love and care she did for him through Quality Care and the Crown Hospice Service for such love and compassion and the many good people who are part of their team.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon, Monday, December 30, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Graveside services with full military honors will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
