Bobby Ray Skelton, age 84, of Charleston, died Friday, November 29, 2024, at Memory Lane Care Center in Dexter, MO.

Born December 26, 1939, at Bloomfield, MO, to the late John Skelton, Jr. and Maude Ellen Barker Skelton, he had lived in Charleston most of his life where he was employed with Auto Tire and Parts for over 40 years. He loved fishing.

On June 24, 1961, he married Frankie Jo Britt, who preceded him in death August 23, 2014.

Surviving are his sons, Kevin Skelton of Oklahoma City, OK and Keith Alan (Sondra) Skelton of Charleston; one grandson, Clay Skelton; his brother, Nathan (Barbara) Skelton of Sikeston and his sister, Debbie Sue Skelton (Bruce) Ray of Benton; also, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Skelton and his sister, Jean Ann McReynolds.

There is no visitation.

Family and friends may assemble for graveside services at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

Rev. Dennis Lowe, pastor of Unity Baptist Church at Benton, Mo., will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
