BONNIE JEAN BRUMLEY, age 87, of Wyatt, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born August 15, 1930, at Charleston, MO, to the late John R. and Vera G. Melton Lee, she had lived Mississippi County her entire life. A graduate of Diehlstadt High School, she attended beauty school and upon her completion she owned and operated Bonnie's Beauty Shop in Wyatt, for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Wyatt United Methodist Church until its closing at which time she became a member of the Charleston United Methodist Church.
On March 20, 1947, she married Clifton C. "Tootie" Brumley, who preceded her in death on August 2, 1997.
Surviving are three daughters, Jerris Crosier of East Prairie, Rita Gibson (Steve Wright) of Wyatt and Karen (Jay) Maxam of Naperville, IL; one sister, Blanche Brown of Tiptonville, TN; five grandchildren, J.R. (Lisa) Maxam of Charlotte, NC, Ryan (Olivia) Maxam of Land O Lakes, FL, Sarah (Ross) Zachwieja of Aurora, IL, Carrie Maxam (Derek Sauter) of Fitchburg and Jessica (Blake) Baxter of Plainfield, IL; 7 great grandchildren, Brittani, Ryan Jr., Alex and Gretchen Maxam, Abigail and Owen Zachwieja and Thomas Baxter; also, a number of nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son in law, Buddy Crosier.
Private burial was held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
