Bonnie Sue Wilson

Bonnie Sue Wilson, a resident of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Ratliff Nursing Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born in the Salcedo Community of Scott County, MO, to the late Harvey Christopher and Lena Geneva Riley Wilson, she had lived in rural Scott County a number of years moving to Cape Girardeau in 1975. She had worked in private duty nursing and later at Proctor and Gamble until her retirement and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Known for her infectious laugh and quick wit, she was an avid lover of baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Her siblings were Arland Glenn Wilson, Veecha Mae Wilson, Raymond Wilson, Tiney Mae Moore, Sylvia Lee Parker and Mary Ann Williams.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including: Leslie D. Parker of Charleston, Mary Ann Parker of Miami, FL, Pamela Parker Black of Orlando, FL, and Terry A. Parker of Charleston. Also a number of great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her niece, Melissa Jean Parker.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 12, 2013, I.O.O.F.Cemetery near Charleston. Rev. Dan Faust, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Charleston will officiate. A eulogy will be given by her nephew, Terry A. Parker.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
