Boyd Henderson Raper, 87, died Jan. 1, 2014 at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born April 15, 1926 at Memphis, Texas to the late Otis and Sarah (Hall) Raper. A resident of this area most of his life, he was a retired farmer and member of Shady Acres Church of Christ. He as a veteran of the U.S. Army during world War II. On Nov. 26, 1958 he was married to Wanda Wagley at Matthews and she survives of the home. Also surviving are 1 son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Shelia Raper of Ringgold, GA.; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Angelia and Joel Wyatt of Franklin, TN.; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Massey of Winfield, MO, and Tyler Wyatt & Paige Wyatt of Franklin; and 1 great-grandson, Noah Massey; 1 special niece, Betty "Crickett" Heckemeyer, also survives. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Charles Raper, and 3 sisters, Dolly Littleton, Willie Kelso, and Martha Ellen Raper. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 pm Friday, Jan 3 at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 10:30 am Saturday, Jan 4 with Johnny Hester and Patrick Hogan, ministers at Shady Acres Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Wyatt, Jeff Massey, Paul Walker, Stephen Wagley, Brad Cude and Andrew Heckemeyer.
