DAVID BRADLEY "BRAD" BRANUM, age 66 of Sikeston, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, July 31, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Brad was born October 29, 1956, in Sikeston to Charles C. and Mary Etta Crader Branum.  He lived in Cape Girardeau most his life, attended Cape Girardeau Public Schools and was a 1975 graduate of Cape Central High School and had attained the rank of Eagle Scout.

Brad was very artistic and especially creative in making tie dye garments for his family and friends. Upon request, he had designed tie dye wedding dresses for more than one bride. He was an avid fan of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. Traveling across the country he attended multiple concerts and was proud to be called a "Deadhead".

Surviving are many cousins, including a special cousin Lee Ann Yeargain and friend Jimmy Allmon, both of Sikeston, whom he had made his home with since 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, Noah Branum.

Visitation will be held at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2023.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Clay Thomas, Francis Schaffer, Greg Tlapek, David Alcorn and Jon Johnson.
